The Kindred Route is a curated small-group travel brand built specifically for solo travelers. We bring together small, carefully chosen groups — never more than 14 people — to explore compelling destinations together. It's not a tour, and it's not a singles event. It's something more intentional than either.

You're curious, accomplished, and genuinely interested in the world. You want to really go somewhere — not just pass through it. You may not have someone to travel with right now, or you simply prefer the energy of a well-matched small group. We built this for you.

Never. Solo travelers pay the same per-person rate as everyone else. You're not an afterthought here — you're exactly who we had in mind when we designed this.

Fourteen people, maximum. Small enough to feel like a dinner party. Large enough to spark something real.

Intentionally. Group dynamics matter to us as much as the itinerary does. We think about the mix of people, not just the number of seats filled.

Each trip is fully detailed on its individual listing, but generally includes curated accommodations, most meals, private ground transportation, guided experiences, and entrance fees. International airfare is typically not included, though we're happy to help with flights.

We run a limited number of trips each year by design. No buses at landmarks, no rushed checklists, no cookie-cutter packages. Every destination is chosen because it rewards slow, curious travel — and every itinerary leaves room for the unplanned moment. That's where the good stuff lives.

The Kindred Route was founded by Brandon Warner, who also co-founded Traveler's Joy (the leading honeymoon registry in the US) and runs Journey & Wander, a boutique travel advisory practice. For over 20 years, his work has been built around one conviction: that connecting people to places — and to each other — changes how you see the world. The Kindred Route is the natural next chapter of that.
