These photos follow the route of Galway, Unhurried, our six-day small-group trip for solo travelers along the west of Ireland. The trip starts in Galway's Latin Quarter, among the painted shopfronts and pubs of Quay Street, then heads into Connemara for a guided sea kayak on Killary Harbour beneath the Twelve Bens and Maumturk Mountains.

From there the route runs south through the Burren to Doolin for an eight-kilometer guided hike along the Cliffs of Moher, then crosses the Shannon to the Dingle Peninsula: the Slea Head coastal walk past stone huts and old forts, a boat out toward Great Blasket Island, and long dinners in Dingle town.
